For his Christian Dior Fall 2009 Couture collection, Galliano was inspired by behind the scenes documentary photographs taken of Monssieur Dior dressing his models.  This resulted in a collection of beautiful infusion of Madonna meets Dior's New Look. The half dressed models paraded down the runway in raspberry, orange, and lemon peplum jackets, draped bubble skirts, padded-hip coats, and full-skirted evening gowns, paired with flesh colored underpinnings that were meant to be shown off. The stark contrast of the nude lingerie paired with the fruity hues created a look that was nonchalantly unfinished.
